- Copy the above
table to a Microsoft Word document file.
- Save the document
as Payroll1.7 and your initials
- Display
the Tables and Borders Toolbar.
- Calculate
the earnings for Benitez.
- Position
the insertion point in the first blank cell in the Earnings column.
- Open
the Table menu and choose Formula.
- Word
Proposes =SUM(LEFT). Delete the
proposed formula and enter =c2*b2.
- Click
the down arrow in the Number format list box and select $#,##0.00;
($#,##0.000).
- Click
OK
- Calculate
the earnings for Daniel in the same way, changing the formula to =c3*b3.
- Enter
formulas in the Earnings cell for Huyang, O’Neil, and Parker.
- Position
the insertion point in the last row of the Regular Hours column and click
the AutoSum button on the Tables and Borders toolbar. Word automatically computes the value of
all the numbers above.
- Position
the insertion point in the last row of the Earnings column and click the
Autosum button.
- Insert
a new row at the bottom of the table. Enter Average Hrs in the first cell.
- Press
Tab to move the insertion point to the Regular Hours column. Open the Table menu and choose Formula.
- Deflete
the proposed formula and enter =AVERAGE(c2:c6).
