Grade of "A"
- Thoroughly follows directions
- Thoroughly responds to all elements of the question/assignment
- Thoroughly accomplishes specific goals of assignment
- Paper is thoroughly organized, including paragraphing and use of white space.
- Thoroughly uses standard English and observes rules of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
Grade of "B"
- Thoroughly follows directions, with minor exceptions not significantly affecting the response.
- Thoroughly responds to all elements of the question/assignment, with minor exceptions not significantly affecting the response.
- Thoroughly accomplishes specific goals of assignment, with minor exceptions not significantly affecting the response.
- Paper is thoroughly organized, including paragraphing and use of white space, with minor exceptions not significantly affecting the response.
- Thoroughly uses standard English and observes rules of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation, with minor exceptions not significantly affecting the response.
Grade of "C"
- Moderately follows directions, completing most of the question/assignment.
- Moderately responds to most elements of the question/assignment, somewhat affecting the quality of the response.
- Accomplishes some of specific goals of assignment
- Paper is somewhat organized, including paragraphing and use of white space.
- Some breaches of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation, not affecting the understanding of the writing.
Grade of "D"
- Minimally follows directions, completing little of the question/assignment.
- Minimally responds to some elements of the question/assignment, significantly affecting the quality of the response.
- Provides few or no specifics
- Paper is not organized, not using paragraphing and white space.
- Major breaches of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation, somewhat affecting the understanding of the writing.
Grade of "F"
- Fails to follows directions, completing very little or none of the question/assignment.
- Fails to responds to essential elements of the question/assignment.
- Provides no specifics
- Paper is not organized, not using paragraphing and white space.
- Major breaches of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation, significantly affecting the understanding of the writing.
